Teenagers are simply exposed to all sorts of influences via media and channels, which established the so-called trend among themselves. These unhealthy lifestyles empower them without them realising the acute repercussions. Parents begin to worry about such trends, which are staying out at nights, no interest in pursing studies and fantasying unrealistic ambitions.
Many youngsters rather spend most of their time with friends at night-- defying parents'' order-- than staying at home. Mostly on weekends, they gather around food stalls to talk about the events which had happened over the week. After spending the whole night hanging outside, these "extroverts" will return home willingly then, while their parents anxiously waiting for them. The next day, their daily routines will be interupted, as they sleep till noon to their hearts content.
Besides, teenagers do not have interest in pursuing studies. What they desire is just momentary enjoyment, which is being with their clicks, wandering around places like bus stations and shopping complexes imprudently. Teenagers can be easily influenced by bad companions which might goad these innocents to smoke, fight and with great possibility, they will lead them to the act of drug abuse. This aggravates the condition where the population of school dropouts is on a rise and less teenagers would pay attention on their studies as it is a waste of time, they thought. This false allegation against the education policy worries the authority. If these teenagers do not correct their mind sets, they will be living in darkness without beacon in their lives--without goals in their future.
Last but not least, the trend of fantasying unrealistic ambition of being celebrities or influential figures is popular among teenagers. There is not doubt that the existence of multimedia plays a part in encouraging teens to set foot into the entertainment world, even where their potential or talents have not lift to the standards in acting and singing. National television contests open doors to discover the hidden potential of the youngsters. The actual purpose and intention was good, but when schooling teenagers neglect their studies to focus on the competition, it turns out to be bad. Especially during examination season, they might not even bother to revise. Rather, they are more keen on "revising" the lastest fashion trend on the magazines, or latest debut album released.
Publis has been implored by the authority to prevent such unhealthy trends being spread in our society, as we practice code of discipline. Besides, I think that parents must require their children, especially adolescents to conform to the established rules and regulations. Parents should also pay more attention on their children compared to career, as family prior to others. With proper guidance, teenagers are able to discover their abilities which are relevant to the realistic world not just living as lotus eaters. As a result, they will that there is another perfect "trend" awaiting them to respond.
